Crystal Waldron, end-of-life doula

Before finding my calling as a death doula educator and end-of-life doula, I spent 14 years as a dedicated hairdresser, honing my innate capacity for connection and empathy. My ability to forge deep, compassionate relationships paved the way to my life’s next journey: becoming a beacon of support during life’s final chapter, and helping others do the same.

After witnessing firsthand the profound and often daunting complexities of end-of-life care, I undertook extensive study and training to become a certified death doula and educator. My passion for holistic death care and home funerals has driven me to the forefront of this vital, often misunderstood field.

Having sat bedside with several individuals during their end-of-life journeys, I understand the unique challenges and sacred moments these experiences can hold. My mission is to demystify and destigmatize the dying process, fostering a deeper understanding of death as a natural part of life’s cycle.

I’ve had the great privilege to study with Alua Arthur, the brave pioneer and educational leader for the death doula community, and am NEDA Proficient.

Through my work I aim to educate and inspire the community, promoting holistic death care practices and providing guidance on navigating home funerals. My goal is to empower individuals, families, and communities to approach end-of-life experiences with knowledge, dignity, and an understanding heart.
